So, this day was bound to come. You see, we’ve always had musical instruments around the house. It seemed for 5 years, 11 months and a few days, those instruments were invisible to the boy.
Drums with the beating of the sticks, flailing of the arms, and shaking of the head, are a match made in heaven! He also loves the “gas pedals” for the cymbals and the kick drum.
The guitar was heavy, but the amp? You can turn these knobs and push the buttons and make the sounds change? Cool.
And, of course, like any hard rockin’ star, he has to chug his strawberry milk after a set.
He decided drum lessons are in order. Where do I buy the cheapest set of earplugs?
Happy Wednesday!!

You need some noise-cancelling headphones–STAT! He’s a pretty cute musician, by the way.
Echo that! Supper cute drummer!
both of my children want drum lessons too. Horrors! So far we’ve lucked out with having no room for a kit.
We have a keyboard that seems to only be fun when it’s volume is cranked all the way up. You know that comment Lizbeth made today on her blog about the chicken skewers in her ears? Yeah, that!
OMG! We are just waiting for the day when we have to pony up for drum lessons for Little Miss. As soon as she hears a beat, she is locked in and in LOVE. And when we used to do Gymboree music? You KNOW that kid went straight for the drums. This just proves that she an T are meant for each other!
T is quite the rocker! Before you know it, he’ll be trashing hotel rooms and stuff! Oh but wait – is he already doing that? I know Lily is…
And please tell Karla that NO band is ever made up of TWO drummers! T and LM would just compete with each other. Lily plays a mean piano which would be a nice complement to T’s drums. Now THAT is a match made in Heaven!
Rock God!
