Today is the first day of summer! In Northern California, it’s hot. We’ve been in the upper 90s and over 100 degrees already for a few days. Tootles had his first day in the pool with his dad. And this kid loves the pool, but hates the bath? Must be the shampoo in the hair…
“By the fountain! NOO!”

I work part time and spend the rest driving here and there and everywhere for my son's various therapies. Instead of trying cases, I now play Pac-man and watch SpongeBob. I wear old sweaters and jeans and always, always flat shoes to run after my son.

I don’t like humidity but the heat is fine with me.
Oh yes – I forgot about the humidity where you are!! I have not visited there for over 10 years (and I miss the City!!) but I remember the humidity in August when I stayed in New Hyde Park for a couple weeks. Still it was so green and beautiful!

How funny those similarities! I was raised in the Pacific Northwest where we often had rain on the 4th of July so I do know the bit about cold summers but as I write this it is 5 am where you are and – ack! 59 degrees?!? Goodness girl!! You need another trip to Mexico!
