Why Blue Hair? Be Aware!

What are you doing here?!  I’ve just published a new page for Autism Awareness Month.  I’m looking for all of you to send me a photo of your hair, nails, tattoos, clothing, wigs, whatever is on your bod, that is promoting conversation with co-workers, acquaintances, other parents, bloggers, family or whoever (!) for Autism Awareness Month.   Send it!  I will add it to this wall!

You send it.  I put it up on the page.  At the end of the month, April 30th, I chose one photo submitter at random (hat drawing) and give away a $25 Target gift card!  Okay, so it’s not the Mega Millions, but hey!  Your odds are a lot better here.

Go.  Read.  Submit.  I’m waiting…

About solodialogue

I'm a lawyer and the mom of a 6 year old boy with autism. I work part time and spend the rest driving here and there and everywhere for my son's various therapies. Instead of trying cases, I now play Pac-man and watch SpongeBob. I wear old sweaters and jeans and always, always flat shoes to run after my son. Yeah, it's different but I wouldn't change it for anything. The love of my child is the most powerful, beautiful and rewarding aspect of my life.

What a great idea to use yourself as a way to get attention for the cause. I need to think of something creative. I just got my hair colored the other day and if I had known about this then, I would have added in a blue strip while I was there! Maybe I’ll go with the bright blue nails and hope people don’t confuse me with being an avid Kentucky fan (of which I’m SO not).

  2. Ooh, you’re so brave with your hair! I haven’t even had time to do my toenails this year. Must remedy that soon. 🙂
