Almost Wordless Wednesday – Round ‘Em Up, Cowboy!

Recently, Toots had his first pony ride!  The school where he attended kindergarten (and now goes to Summer Camp) had a “Western Week” which included rides on ponies, costumes provided for photo-op.  And this is how it went:

First, the ride in the regular clothes. Getting to know each other.

Then, posing John Wayne style in our Cowboy Duds…

Such a natural…

And holding the reigns…

For those wondering when the purchase of the pony will take place, that purchase is on hold.  Since that date, Tootles has his eye on a new form of transportation:

Now, how do I get him interested in that pony again?

Happy Wednesday!

About solodialogue

I'm a lawyer and the mom of a 6 year old boy with autism. I work part time and spend the rest driving here and there and everywhere for my son's various therapies. Instead of trying cases, I now play Pac-man and watch SpongeBob. I wear old sweaters and jeans and always, always flat shoes to run after my son. Yeah, it's different but I wouldn't change it for anything. The love of my child is the most powerful, beautiful and rewarding aspect of my life.

SEE!!! GOD, Karen! You strike while the iron is HOT. You don’t wait until he trades his pony fantasy for a $500,000 car fantasy! Amateur.

  2. Allie says:

Uh-oh. I think you missed your chance on the pony. There’s no going back now. I hope you have some spare change laying around 😉

  3. Julie says:

You should look into therapeutic riding for him. Dylan loves it!

  4. Monica says:

    Adorable! 🙂

  5. Awww, he looks so cute in his chaps!! And that car… He’s such a dude!

  6. Tootles has got some taste! Seriously cute photos!

  7. Claudia says:

The toys just get more expensive as they get older.

  8. Lisa says:

This takes the phrase, “Boys and their toys” to a whole new level!! Can you just find a “model” version of that modern marvel of engineering??

  9. karacteristic says:

Crimeny, he’s getting big! How does one even come across a car like that on the internets let alone at a dealership? You poor thing – you are in trouble.

  10. He is so dang adorable. :)))

He is one lucky Tootles and looks good on a horse. 😉

  12. Had to giggle at this. My Son is a walking car encyclopaedia. He can, and frequently does, share numerous details about car models, badges, engine specs etc. They are very definitely his current special interest and it all started with a Bugatti_veyron! this is still one of his favourites. We bought him a model one, but that didn’t quite cut it. He doesn’t ‘do’ toys and models! – I think he will have to save his pocket money for a very very long time!

I’m sure at 11, he’s got much more down than my Toots, but I’m sure as he gets older my son will be reciting those engine specs right along with the rest of it! How funny about the Bugatti! Your son and mine need to start delivering papers and mowing the lawns to save up! Thanks for stopping in Violet. 🙂
